Butterflies of high summer, with White Admiral and Purple Emperor on the wing,and Silver-washed Fritillary today, are now beginning to appear. Most species are below average in numbers this year, but there have been good counts of Marbled Whites at Twywell. Species Count this year - 33 Updated 4th July
